Meet Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch
Democrat for Texas House District 50

Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch is a nationally recognized immigration attorney, community advocate, and proud Austinite running to represent House District 50.
A native of Austin, Kate graduated from the University of Texas College of Communication and the University of Texas School of Law. For nearly 20 years, she has stood with people the system often leaves behind—immigrants seeking safety, families facing deportation, and small business owners working to build a better life. As the founding attorney of Lincoln-Goldfinch Law and the founder of VECINA, a nonprofit that connects volunteer attorneys with asylum seekers, Kate has helped thousands of families find stability, dignity, and peace of mind.
Kate is widely recognized as a thought leader in immigration. Her insights and advocacy have been featured in The Texas Tribune, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, CNN, NPR, and Business Insider.
She currently serves on the City of Austin’s Commission on Immigrant Affairs appointed by both Mayor Kirk Watson and Mayor Steve Adler.
She also founded El Bus Sin Fronteras, a mobile outreach project that travels across Texas bringing free legal education and community resources to places that need it most.
Her work has earned recognition from across the community, including the Kick Ass Award from the Travis County Democrats and the Pathfinder Award from the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association.
Kate is a proud mom of two, a wife, and a small business owner who understands the pressures working families face every day. She’s not a politician, she’s a problem solver.
